LASUTH Echocardiography Certificate Course 2025/2026

By  Updated on

LASUTH is now accepting applications for its 2025/2026 Postgraduate Certificate in Echocardiography. This post breaks down who can apply, how long it runs, and where to get the form.

LASUTH Echocardiography Certificate 2025: Application Now Open

So, LASUTH—the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital in Ikeja—is opening its doors again. This time, for folks who want to go deep into echocardiography. That’s the scan they use to check what your heart’s up to, in case you’re wondering.

If you’ve got a background in physiology and you’re thinking, “I want to be hands-on, not just theory”, this might just be your lane.

The application is out for the 2025/2026 session. Let’s break it down without fluff.

Table of contents

Who Can Apply?

You can’t just walk in off the street. You need a BSc in Physiology, and it must come from a school that people actually recognise.

That’s the baseline. No shortcuts, no guessing games.

One Year, Full Time

This isn’t part-time or evening classes. The course lasts one full year, and it’s full-time.

So if you’re planning to work while studying, you might need to rearrange your schedule—or pick a different plan. This one needs your full focus.

By the end, if you pass, you walk away with a Postgraduate Certificate in Echocardiography. Not bad, right?

How To Apply (And Where To Go)

No online form, sorry. You’ll need to get up and move.

Here’s what you do:

  1. Go to the Workforce, Planning & Recruitment Unit, inside the MRC Building at LASUTH.
  2. Pick up the application form.
  3. Fill it. Neatly.
  4. Submit it with:
    • A copy of your CV
    • Two passport photographs (white background, please)
    • Photocopies of your credentials

Then address it to:

The Chief Medical Director
Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH)
1–5 Oba Akinjobi Road, Ikeja, Lagos State.

That’s the official route. Don’t try to submit through the backdoor.

Screening, Interview, and Medicals

Once you apply, the next step is a Computer-Based Test (CBT). You’ll take it at LASUTH. If you pass, you’ll be invited for an oral interview and a check of your original papers.

And yes, you’ll also do a medical screening. They need to know you’re fit enough to go through the grind.

When’s The Deadline?

You’ve got four weeks from the date they dropped the notice. So don’t wait until week three before you start hunting for your passport or trying to print your CV.

Once it’s past the deadline, the form disappears. No extensions, no pleading.
