MDCN Scam Alert – Fraudulent Scholarship Warning

The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) warns the public about a fraudulent scholarship scheme circulating online. The Registrar of MDCN has received reports of individuals pretending to represent the Council and offering a false scholarship programme. These scammers are misleading students and members of the public with claims linked to MDCN.
The Council makes it clear that no such scholarship scheme exists. Any information or list of supposed beneficiaries connected to this claim should be ignored completely. This activity is criminal, and the matter has been reported to law enforcement for further investigation.
Official Channels and Payment Guidelines
To protect students and professionals, MDCN reminds everyone that all official payments must be made only through the REMITA platform. The Council never requests payments into personal or private accounts.
Official notices or statements will always appear on the verified MDCN website. Any publication or announcement found elsewhere should be treated as unauthorised and false.
Public Vigilance and Reporting
Members of the public are encouraged to stay alert and verify all information before responding to any offer or request related to MDCN. If anyone suspects fraudulent activity, they should contact the Council through official communication channels.
The MDCN continues to safeguard professional standards and public trust by ensuring transparency in all its operations. Every student and stakeholder is reminded to rely only on the Council’s verified updates and sources.
