So… if you were planning your weekend around the NDA screening test on May 24, you might want to go ahead and scratch that. It's off. Postponed. On pause. Whatever word works. Just don’t show up at the test centre thinking it’s still a go—it isn’t.

No, this isn’t one of those last-minute logistic disasters. The Academy says it’s about fairness. Level playing field, that kind of thing. Some folks might’ve been at risk of getting left out, and rather than pretend that’s not a thing, they decided to call time on the whole thing—for now.

What’s the new date? Nobody knows. Not me. Not you. Not even the guy whose cousin knows a guy at NDA. They're keeping it close to the chest for now, just said they’ll announce it "in due course"—whatever that means in real-people time.

So yeah, if you've been burning midnight oil prepping for the test, maybe take a breath. Don’t throw your notes out the window or anything, but feel free to sleep before 2 a.m. again. That said, don’t relax too much either—they could drop the new date out of nowhere, and you don't want to be the one caught slipping.

And for real, if you’re looking for updates, just check the NDA portal or their actual social media. Not your uncle’s Facebook post. Not that forwarded voice note with six typos and an “urgent” tag. Trust me.

Anyway. That’s the story. It’s not over. It’s just... not happening this weekend.

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna, has announced the date for the screening test for applicants of the 77th Regular Course (77RC). This post provides essential information for all applicants shortlisted for the NDA Screening Test, including the date, required documents, subjects combinations and photograph specifications.

The names of candidates who scored the required NDA Cut off Marks of 180 for all courses less Engineering which is 210 will be uploaded to the portal as soon as NDA obtained same from JAMB.

NDA 77RC Screening Test Date

The management of the Nigerian Defence Academy has scheduled the screening test for the 77th Regular Course (77RC) on Saturday, 24 May 2025. All shortlisted applicants should prepare accordingly to participate in the examination.

Required Documents for NDA Screening Test

Applicants shortlisted for the NDA Screening Test are required to bring the following documents to the examination center:

Acknowledgment Form
Screening Test Admission Card
JAMB Registration Slip

Photograph Specifications

In addition to the documents mentioned above, applicants must also bring TWO (2) postcard-sized (3.5 x 5 inches) photographs. The photographs should meet the following requirements:

Show only from the chest upwards
Contain the candidate’s Name, State of Origin, Screening Centre, JAMB Reg. Number, Course of Study, and Signature at the back

NDA Entrance Exam Subjects Combinations

Candidates for FASS. Candidates for FASS are to answer all questions in any THREE of the following subjects that are applicable to the candidate’s chosen course:
1) Mathematics – (Compulsory for Psychology candidates).
(2) Economics.
(3) Geography.
(4) History.
(5) Government.
(6) French.
(7) Biology – (Compulsory for Psychology candidates).
Candidates for Sciences. Candidates for courses in Faculty of Science are to answer questions as follows:
1. Mathematics (Mathematics and any 2 of Physics, Chemistry and Economics).
2. Physics (Physics and any 2 of Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology).
3. Chemistry (Chemistry and any 2 of Physics, Biology and Mathematics).
4. Biology (Biology and any 2 of Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics).
Candidates for Engineering. Candidates for the Faculty of Engineering are to answer ALL questions in the 3 subjects listed below:
(1) Mathematics.
(2) Physics.
(3) Chemistry.
Candidates for Military Science and Interdisciplinary Studies. Candidates for Intelligence & Cyber Security Studies are to answer the following:
1. Mathematics
2. Physics and
3. Anyone of Biology, Chemistry or Economics.

Please note that only those with duly printed Examination Card will be admitted into the various centres for the test.
