2025 Bridge Scholarship for Nigerian Undergraduates
The 2025 Bridge Undergraduate Scholarship is now open to students in Nigerian public universities who are in financial need. This guide walks you through the eligibility rules, required documents and how to apply before the 12 September deadline. If you're struggling with school fees, you may want to read on.
School stress is one thing. Worrying about school fees on top of that? That’s a whole different problem. If you’ve ever stared at your course registration portal and sighed because of unpaid fees, the Bridge Undergraduate Scholarship might be the kind of news you need.
Every year, the Bridge team looks for bright students who are trying to push through school, even when the odds aren’t great. Think of it as more than just money, though. There’s mentorship too. Leadership coaching. The kind of help that doesn’t just end with a transfer alert.
Who They Want
This isn’t for everybody. And they are clear about that.
You must:
- Be a student in a Nigerian public university
- Be in Year 1 up to your second-to-final year (no final year students allowed)
- Have real financial need (no forming)
- Be serious about finishing your degree
- Have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or 3.5 on a 5.0 scale
- Show grit and character, especially in tough situations
- Be active in your community or involved in school-related activities
That last one? It doesn’t mean you have to be SU President. Volunteering counts. Just show you’re not passive.
Timeline to Note
- Opens: 1 August 2025
- Closes: 12 September 2025 at 11:59 PM (WAT sharp)
Don’t wait till last minute. You don’t want to be that person asking your HOD for a reference letter at 9pm on deadline day.
