First Things First: Did You Choose UDUSOK as First Choice?

Because if you didn’t? Then, well, this list might not help you much. UDUSOK only considers first-choice applicants. So if you’re scanning with a second-choice status, sorry, it’s a no.

Wait—What Do Merit, ELDS, and Catchment Mean?

It’s not just random numbers thrown around. They mean different things:

• Merit: The top-tier requirement. If you’re not from a Catchment state or ELDS area, this is your benchmark.
• ELDS: Short for Educationally Less Developed States. Students from these states get slightly relaxed entry scores.
• Catchment: Close-by states. Think Sokoto, Zamfara, Kebbi. You might get a softer landing here too.

This tri-score system gives more people a shot without dropping the bar completely.

If you scored above the mark:

Nice. You’re through the first door. But don’t relax too much. Next steps come fast: post-UTME, screenings, document checks. Miss a date and it could all fall apart. Head over to the UDUSOK admissions portal and keep refreshing. This time, it’s worth it.

Didn’t make it?

Look. It’s not the end. Consider applying for less competitive courses or watch for supplementary lists. Sometimes, departments lower scores after the first round if seats aren’t filled.
