UNIBEN Admission Deadline for 2025/2026 Academic Session
The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has announced that admissions for the 2025/2026 academic session will officially close on Friday, 31 October 2025. This follows the decision reached during the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Policy Meeting held with Vice-Chancellors and other education stakeholders.
All candidates who have been offered admission into various courses at UNIBEN are strongly advised to accept their offers on or before the closing date to avoid losing their places. The deadline applies to both UTME and Direct Entry applicants whose names appear on the university’s admission portal or the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
Acceptance and Resumption Details for UNIBEN Students
Successful applicants must log in to their JAMB CAPS or the UNIBEN admission portal to accept their offers immediately. Failure to do so before 31 October 2025 will result in the automatic withdrawal of the admission offer.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Edoba B. Omoregie, SAN, congratulated all newly admitted students for their success. He encouraged them to prepare for the commencement of the 2025/2026 academic year, which begins on Monday, 10 November 2025.
Fresh students are expected to resume for registration and orientation activities on the same day, while returning students will receive updates on their respective departmental schedules from the university’s management.
UNIBEN Welcomes New Students
The management of UNIBEN welcomes all new undergraduates and looks forward to a productive academic year. The university remains committed to academic excellence, discipline, and student development. Newly admitted students are advised to follow official communication channels for further updates on hostel allocation, registration procedures, and matriculation dates.
