UNILORIN 50th Anniversary Programme Schedule
The 50th Anniversary celebrations mark a major milestone for the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) as it turns fifty years since its founding.
The week-long programme is scheduled to take place from Sunday, 23rd November to Friday, 28th November 2025. The event line-up includes thanksgiving services, lectures, alumni activities, and cultural showcases that reflect the university’s heritage and achievements.

Day 1 – Anniversary Thanksgiving Service (Sunday, 23rd November 2025)
- 10:00 a.m. – Anniversary Service and Thanksgiving
Venue: Unilorin Chapels
Day 2 – Awareness (Monday, 24th November 2025)
- 07:00 a.m. – Unilorin @50 Walk with branded T-shirts
Venue: University Roundabout - 01:00 p.m. – VC Dialogue with All Former Principal Officers
- 04:00 p.m. – Son of Iron (Special Screening and Unilorin Premiere of Nollywood Movie)

Day 3 – Press Briefing (Tuesday, 25th November 2025)
- 10:00 a.m. – Vice Chancellor’s Press Briefing and Courtesy Visits

Day 4 – Alumni Day, Fundraising, and Anniversary Play (Wednesday, 26th November 2025)
