FULOKOJA Convocation Ceremony 2024 – Complete Programme and Dates

The Federal University, Lokoja (FULOKOJA) announces its 8th Convocation Ceremony for the 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 academic sessions.

These ceremonies will celebrate the awarding of honorary degrees, first degrees, diplomas, and prizes.

Expect a week of events that showcase the achievements of graduates and the university community.

Day 1: Monday, October 21, 2024

• Press Conference by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olayemi Akinwumi
  Venue: University Council Chamber, Felele
  Time: 10:00 a.m.
• Colloquium in honour of Professor Olu Obafemi
  Venue: Multipurpose Hall, Felele
  Time: 12:00 p.m.

Day 2: Tuesday, October 22, 2024

• Founder’s Day
  Time: 10:00 a.m.

Day 3: Wednesday, October 23, 2024

• Research Fair/Exhibition
  Venue: College of Health Sciences, Adankolo
  Time: 10:00 a.m.
• Procession Rehearsal
  Venue: Mini Stadium, Felele Campus
  Time:
  2:00 p.m. for Management, Provost, Deans, and Directors.
  3:00 p.m. for Deputy Registrars, Faculty Officers, and Graduands.

Day 4: Thursday, October 24, 2024

• Convocation Lecture
  Venue: Multipurpose Hall, Felele
  Time: 2:00 p.m.
• Convocation Play
  Venue: College of Health Sciences, Adankolo
  Time: 6:00 p.m.

Day 5: Friday, October 25, 2024

• Juma’at Prayer
  Venue: University Mosque, Felele
  Time: 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
• Chancellor’s Night
  Time: 5:00 p.m.

Day 6: Saturday, October 26, 2024

• Convocation Ceremony
  This day will feature the awarding of first degrees for students in Arts, Education, Management Sciences, Science, and Social Sciences. Higher degrees and honorary doctorates will also be awarded.

Day 7: Sunday, October 27, 2024

• Inter-denominational Thanksgiving Service
  Venue: College of Health Sciences Auditorium, Adankolo
  Time: 10:00 a.m.
