MAU Yola convocation 2026: schedule and dates

Modibbo Adama University (MAU), Yola will hold its 29th and 30th Combined Convocation Ceremony for the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 graduating sets.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibrahim Umar, on behalf of the Governing Council, Management and Senate, invites graduates, parents/guardians, and the general public to the programme scheduled for Friday, 30 Jan 2026 and Saturday, 31 January 2026.

Convocation dates (main ceremony)

The combined convocation is scheduled to hold on:

• Friday 30th Jan, 2026
• Saturday 31st January, 2026

Two days, one combined event; graduates should track the line-up so nothing gets missed.

Press conference

• Date: Tuesday, 27 Jan 2026
• Time: 11.00am
• Venue: University Senate Chamber

Convocation lecture

• Date: Friday, 30 January, 2026
• Time: 4.00pm
• Venue: Lecture Theatre I, College of Medical Sciences

Award of certificates and degrees

This covers the award of Certificates, Diplomas, First and Higher Degree Certificates.

• Date: Saturday, 31 Jan 2026
• Time: 9.00am
• Venue: University Convocation Square

Academic gowns: payment and collection

Graduates are required to pay for academic gowns at the University Microfinance Bank (within the University premises).

Gown collection will commence from Tuesday, 27th Jan 2026.

Seating time (graduates and guests)

Graduates, parents and invited guests are expected to be seated by 9.00am.
