NOUN 15th Convocation Ceremony 2026 Details

The National Open University of Nigeria, NOUN, has scheduled its 15th convocation ceremony for 17 to 18 April 2026.
The announcement came from the Registrar of the university, Mr Oladipo Ajayi. It states that the ceremony will run across two days; activities will take place in Abuja, with both on-site and off-site participation.
Pre-convocation lecture
The pre-convocation lecture will hold on 17 April 2026 by 11:00 a.m. at the Conference Centre of the university, Jabi, Abuja.
The lecture will be delivered by former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Chief Kanu Godwin Agabi, SAN, CON.
Main convocation ceremony
The convocation ceremony, where graduands will receive various degrees, will hold on 18 April 2026 by 10:00 a.m. at the Convocation Arena of the university, Jabi, Abuja.
Those billed to attend the on-site event are expected to be seated no later than 9:00 a.m. at the Convocation Arena.
Who will attend on-site
The announcement states that the ceremony will be conducted both on-site and off-site.
Only these graduands are to attend the on-site ceremony at the Convocation Arena, university headquarters, Abuja:
- First-Class graduands
- award winners
- Postgraduate Diploma, PGD, graduands
- Master’s degree graduands
- Doctorate graduands
- Honorary Doctorate graduands
Who will attend from study centres
All other first degree graduands from all study centres, including those in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, are to take part in the ceremonies at their respective state capital study centres.
That arrangement sets the participation pattern clearly; some graduands will attend in Abuja, while others will join from their state capital study centres.
Certificate collection details
Graduands are informed that certificates will be available for collection immediately after the convocation ceremonies.
Collection points are as follows:
- at the university headquarters, Abuja
- at respective state capital study centres
The announcement also states that graduands from study centres within Abuja are to collect their certificates at the university’s Abuja Model Study Centre, Kubuwa, Abuja.
