TSU Inter-Departmental Transfer Portal Opens for 2025/2026

Taraba State University (TSU), Jalingo, has announced the opening of its Inter-Departmental Transfer portal for the 2025/2026 academic session. The notice came from the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) on 6 February 2026; the application window is short, and the rules are specific.

Transfer dates and application window

The university stated that the online portal will be open from Tuesday, 10 February 2026 to Friday, 20 February 2026. Once the window closes, interested students will need to wait for the next approved period; the timeline is fixed in the notice.

Who can apply

The transfer opportunity is open to returning students who want to change their academic programmes. Students with poor academic performance who have been advised by their departments to change programmes can also apply; this route sits within the same transfer process.

CGPA requirements by programme

TSU set separate CGPA thresholds; the numbers matter.

B.NSc. Nursing Science

Candidates seeking transfer to B.NSc. Nursing Science must have a minimum CGPA of 3.50.

Other programmes

Candidates transferring to other programmes must have at least a CGPA of 3.00.

One figure can make the difference; the university has said what it expects.

How to apply

Interested candidates are to apply and submit their applications through the university portal after payment of the required registration and application fees. The statement links submission to payment; evidence will sit within the process the university has outlined.

Approvals and internal checks

TSU stated that all approvals depend on meeting the stated requirements and the recommendations of the Central Admission Committee. Deans and Heads of Departments have also been told to follow the approved guidelines for inter-departmental transfers; the university wants the same standard across faculties and departments.
