Benue State University of Agriculture, Science and Technology (BSUAST), Ihugh, through the Institute of Foundation and Entrepreneurship Studies (IFES), has announced the start of registration activities for candidates admitted into the 2025/2026 Pre-Degree/Remedial Programme.

Registration runs from Monday, 26th January, 2026 to Friday, 6 February 2026; this timeline covers two weeks.

The notice applies to candidates admitted into the 2025/2026 Pre-Degree/Remedial Programme. Parents, guardians, and prospective learners are also informed; the message is meant to guide planning and early completion.

Registration window

BSUAST states the registration period as:

• Start: Monday, 26 Jan 2026
• End: Friday, 6th February 2026

The university advises completion within the stated two-week period to secure placement and access to orientation and academic onboarding activities; time matters, so Learners should act early.

What happens after acceptance and screening

After acceptance and screening, learners will proceed with payment of approved user charges. The charges are structured to cover:

• academic instruction
• laboratory practicals
• ICT-enabled learning
• health and utility services
• examinations
• structured student development activities

Entrepreneurship and practical skills training is mandatory

A key feature of the UAST-IFES Pre-Degree/Remedial programme is the mandatory Entrepreneurship and Practical Skills component. The school states that this feature provides hands-on training in tech, agriculture, vocational work, and enterprise; it is designed to build practical competence and self-reliance skills alongside academic foundation.
