Taraba State University (TSU) Adjusted Academic Calendar for 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 Sessions

Taraba State University, TSU, has released its approved adjusted academic calendar for the 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 academic sessions. The schedule sets out dates for orientation, Senate, matriculation, examinations, resumption, registration, Christmas break, and return to campus.

For students across 100 to 500 levels, the calendar gives a clear run of events; it shows when each stage starts and when it ends.

Orientation and matriculation for 2025/2026

Orientation for newly admitted students will hold from 13 to 14 April 2026. This applies to 100 and 200 level students.

Regular Senate is scheduled for Thursday, 16 April 2026, at the DDI Senate Building, TSU.

Matriculation for the 2025/2026 academic session will take place on Friday, 17 April 2026. This is also for 100 and 200 level students.

First semester examination dates

First semester examinations for 300 to 500 level students will begin on Monday, 4 May 2026.

The examination period for that group will end on Friday, 22 May 2026.

For 100 and 200 level students, first semester examinations for 2025/2026 will begin on Monday, 1 June 2026.

Those examinations will end on Saturday, 13 June 2026.

Second semester for 2025/2026 session

The second semester for the 2025/2026 session will begin on Monday, 29 June 2026. This covers all levels from 100 to 500.

Second semester examinations for 300 to 500 level students will start on Monday, 28 September 2026.

The examinations for that category will end on Friday, 16 October 2026.

For 100 and 200 level students, second semester examinations will begin on Monday, 19 October 2026.

The examination period for that group will end on Saturday, 31 October 2026.

Resumption for the 2026/2027 session

Resumption for the new 2026/2027 session is fixed for Monday, 16 November 2026. This applies to all students from 100 to 500 levels.

Late registration will begin on Saturday, 21 November 2026, for all levels.

Late registration will end on Saturday, 27 November 2026, for all levels 100 to 500.

Registration for newly admitted students

Registration for newly admitted students for the 2026/2027 academic session will begin on Monday, 29 November 2026. This applies to 100 and 200 level students.

Late registration for newly admitted students is fixed for Saturday, 5 December 2026.

Christmas break and return date

Christmas break will begin on 22 December 2026.

Students will resume after the Christmas break on Monday, 10 January 2027. This return date covers fresh and returning students across all levels.

Orientation and matriculation for 2026/2027

Orientation for newly admitted students in the 2026/2027 session will hold from 13 to 14 January 2027. This is for 100 and 200 level students.

Matriculation for the 2026/2027 academic session will hold on 15 January 2027, also for 100 and 200 level students.
