UNIPORT Pre-Degree Form Is Out 2016/2017 [Humanities & Education]

University of Port Harcourt, UNIPORT pre-degree programmes application form in the faculties of Education and Humanities is out for the 2016/2017 academic session.The Programme is for a period of one year (one academic session).

Latest Update: Sale of application form for the Pre-Degree Programme (Faculties of Humanities and Education) has been extended from Friday 9th September 2016 to Friday, 14th October 2016. Subsequently, the University aptitude test to screen candidates into the programme is rescheduled for Monday 17th October, 2016.

Authorities of University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) invite applications from suitably qualified candidates, for admission into any of the following one year Pre-degree Programmes in the Faculties of Humanities and Education, for the 2016/2017 Session.

(i) Teaching subject – Economics

Five O’Level credits in English Language, Mathematics, Economics, one of Government, Commerce, Geography and any other two subjects from the O’Level subjects listed above.

(ii) Teaching subject – Political Science

Five O’Level credits in English Language, Government or History, one of Economics, Commerce, Geography and any other two O’Level subjects listed above, plus at least a pass in Mathematics.

(ii) Teaching subject – Geography

Five O’Level credits in English Language, Geography and other three O’Level subjects, listed above, plus at least a pass in in Mathematics

(i). For successful candidates from the Pre-degree Programme, credit in French is not compulsory.

 

(ii) The Certificat d Etudes Francaise, 2 Degree, is acceptable as a Credit Pass in French.

Linguistics and Communication Studies [LCS]

English Language and any other four subjects from the O’Level subjects listed above.

4.

Religious and Cultural Studies [RCS]

English Language and any other four subjects from the O’Level subjects listed above.

 UNIPORT PRE-DEGREE ADMISSION METHOD OF APPLICATION.

Application Forms can be obtained online on payment of a non-refundable fee of N11, 000.00 (Eleven Thousand Naira Only). Applicants should log on to www.uniport.edu.ng. Click on Application Procedure for more information.

The names on candidates’ O’ Level Certificates must be the same as what is filled online. Any false information given automatically disqualifies the applicant.

Closing Date

Sale of application form for the Pre-Degree Programme (Faculties of Humanities and Education) has been extended from Friday 9th September 2016 to Friday, 14th October 2016.

Aptitude Test
Subsequently, the University aptitude test to screen candidates into the programme is rescheduled for Monday 17th October, 2016.
 

NOTE WELL: All candidates wishing to transit to the Degree Programme, in addition to the required 5 Credits, must

  1. Pass the prescribed Pre-Degree examinations
  2. Have the appropriate Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) subject combination and
  3. Must have the National Minimum Score in the 2017/2018 UTME and must have chosen University of Port Harcourt.

Materials Needed for the Screening Exercise
Candidates are required to come with the following and be at the Venue of the examination at 8.00am
– A clear copy of Photocard printed online
– Biro, HB pencil, eraser
– Non  Programmable Calculator
