Babcock University Admission Form Is Out - 2017/2018

Babcock University application form for admission into the university undergraduate programmes for the 2017/2018 academic session is out.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admissions into Babcock University (BU), for 4-, 5-, AND 6- year Degree Programs for the 2017/2018 academic session.

BABCOCK UNIVERSITY GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS.

Minimum qualification for the First Degree Programs: 5 credits at the GCE/SSCE/NECO Examinations or their equivalent (at not more than 2 sittings); one sitting only for Medicine & Surgery.  Candidates below 16 years of age are advised not to apply.

CANDIDATES AWAITING 2017 WAEC/NECO SSCE RESULTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO PRESENT ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS BEFORE MATRICULATION.

All candidates who APPLY DIRECTLY to Babcock University are REQUIRED to sit for the current JAMB examination (for 100 Level) or apply for JAMB Direct Entry admissions (for Direct Entry).  Candidates who apply for Transfer Admissions need to present JAMB Admission letter and transcript from previous University and Attestation Letters.

Department of History and International Studies

Degree Offered: B.A. (Hons.) History & International Studies
Requirements: 5 credits in GCE/SSCE/NECO including English Language, History/Government and any other 3 subjects.

Department of Languages and Literary Studies

Degrees Offered: B.A. (Hons.) English Studies
Requirements: 5 credits in English Language, Literature in English and any other three subjects.

Department of Religious Studies

Degrees Offered: B.A. (Hons) Religious Studies [1]
B.A. (Hons.) Christian Religious Studies. [2]
Requirements: 5 credits in English Language, CRK or IRS and any other 3 subjects for [1] and CRS for [2] above. A pass in Mathematics is required for each of the programs.

For No 3 above, 5 credits in O’level results including English Language and Mathematics, and any other 3 science subjects. For No 5 above, 5 credits in O’level result including English Language and Mathematics and any other 3 social science subjects.
Direct Entry: Holders of NCE, OND, HND or equivalent can apply for Direct Entry

Degree Offered: B.A. (Hons.) Music
Requirements: 5 credits in English Language, and any other four subjects.

B. SCHOOL OF LAW & SECURITY STUDIES

Department of Law

Degree Offered: L.L.B. (Hons) Law
Requirements: 5 credits in English Language, Literature in English, Mathematics and any other two social science subjects.
Direct Entry: Advanced level in Higher School Certificate or Bachelor of Arts degree in any related course from any accredited University with second class lower division and above. Candidates must present their transcripts and O’ level results- as stated in the O’ level requirements above.

C. SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT SCIENCES

Department of Accounting

Degree Offered: B.Sc. (Hons) Accounting
Requirements: 5 credits in English Language, Economics, Mathematics and any other two relevant subjects.
NOTE: A pass in Economics may be considered provided the candidate has a credit in Accounting or Commerce.

Department of Banking & Finance

Degrees Offered: B.Sc. (Hons.)/ACIB in Banking & Finance(5-year program)
B.Sc. (Hons.) Banking & Finance
Requirements: 5 credits in English Language, Economics, Mathematics and any other two relevant Social Science subjects.

Department of Business Administration & Marketing

Degrees Offered: B.Sc. (Hons.)Business Administration
B.Sc. (Hons.) Marketing
Requirements: 5 credits in English Language, Economics, Mathematics and any other two relevant Social Science subjects.
NOTE: A pass in Economics may be considered provided the candidate has a credit in Commerce or Business Methods.

Requirements: 5 credits in English Language, Economics, Mathematics and any other two relevant Social Science subjects.

I. SCHOOL OF NURSING SCIENCE

Department of Nursing Science

Degree Offered: BNSc. (Hons.) Nursing Science
Requirements: 5 credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. For Direct Entry students, a candidate is required to: (1) be a Registered Nurse (RN) with the N&MCN. In addition, possession of at least one post-RN certificate e.g. Registered Midwife (RM), Registered Public Health Nurse (RPHN) and Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) would be an advantage. (2) Possess satisfactory result at the SSCE or its equivalent in five subjects at not more than two sittings, which must include English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. (3) Submit official transcript of all the nursing programs to be used for the admission. (4) Submit current license from the N&MCN at least 6-9 months expiry duration. (5) Produce letter of reference from three people which may include the current employer.
