Entry Requirements for HND Programmes

To be eligible for any HND programme, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  1. National Diploma (ND) or National Innovative Diploma (NID): Must possess an ND or NID in their chosen programme with at least a Lower Credit classification from a recognised/accredited Polytechnic, Monotechnic, or Innovation Enterprise Institution.
  2. O’Level Requirements: Five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained at not more than two (2) sittings in WAEC, NECO, or GCE.
  3. National Technical Certificate (NTC) or National Business Certificate (NBC): Credit level pass in a trade plus four (4) relevant academic subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
  4. Industrial Training Experience: One year of post-National Diploma industrial training experience.
  5. Consideration for PASS Grade: Candidates with a PASS grade in ND/NID are eligible if they have a minimum of two (2) years of post-industrial training experience.

Applicants who did not obtain their ND from the Federal Polytechnic, Offa, must forward a copy of their National Diploma Transcript to the Office of the Registrar within eight weeks from the date of this advertisement.

All candidates must write their names in full with their surname first as on their certificates and National Identification Number (NIN). A personal, active email is also required.

Method of Application

To apply:

  1. Visit the Federal Polytechnic Offa Online Portal
  2. Processing Fee: Pay a processing fee of Fifteen Thousand Naira (N15,000) only.
  3. Complete the Application Form: Fill out the application processing form online. Payment is made with an ATM card that is REMITA compatible.
  4. Upload Documents: Scan and upload your certificates/results and other required documents online.

Online Screening Procedure

  1. Name and NIN Consistency: Ensure your names are written in full with your surname first as on your certificates and NIN.
  2. Document Upload: Upload your results, certificates/credentials on the Polytechnic portal here.
  3. Security Form: Fill out the security form on the Polytechnic portal, print the screening slip and the security form, and submit them personally at the Polytechnic Security Office.

Failure to comply with these procedures leads to disqualification. False claims will result in forfeiture of admission at any time they are discovered.
