This notice is intended for the public to announce that, after completing the admission screening for the 2026/2027 academic year – which included physical verification, biometric enrolment, and ranking based on JAMB UTME scores – the university has authorised the publication of the successful candidates' list.
The merit list now available contains the names of applicants who have fulfilled every required step for entry into the university's various departments and faculties. All candidates whose names appear on the list should regularly check the official university website (www.iaue.edu.ng) and other approved information channels for the latest updates on clearance requirements and related procedures.
Refer to the attached PDF file for the complete roster of admitted students.
The university extends its congratulations to every admitted student and wishes them a prosperous start to their academic pursuits.

Important Information for Candidates not yet Admitted!
Commencement of 2026/2027 Admission Exercise and Activation of the JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS)
Candidates aspiring to join Ignatius Ajuru University of Education for the 2026/2027 session are hereby informed that the JAMB CAPS platform is now live for the admission exercise.
This activation enables applicants to monitor their admission status in real time and to know promptly when an offer has been made. Prospective students are therefore urged to check their CAPS status frequently and act without delay.
To track your admission via CAPS, follow these five essential steps:
After completing the steps above, revisit the Admission Status page to see if you have been recommended and approved by JAMB. Once approved, you may accept the offer, print your admission letter, and follow any further instructions issued by the university for clearance. Detailed clearance information will be posted on the university website and communicated through official channels.
In accordance with CAPS policy, the university may recommend a programme transfer for some applicants based on their UTME and O’level results. After following steps 1‑3, candidates should also check the “Transfer Approval” link to see if a transfer has been suggested. You must either accept or decline the transfer. Acceptance will allow the university to admit you into the new programme, while rejection will keep you in your originally chosen course. No transfer will be effected without your response.
UTME applicants who are still waiting for their O‑Level results must upload those results on both the JAMB portal and the university’s portal. Direct‑entry candidates, including JUPEB students, also need to submit their A‑Level and O‑Level certificates to avoid disqualification. This enables the university’s screening officers to verify each applicant’s eligibility for admission.
Note: If you are using a phone, the “Check Admission Status” option may not be visible and only a welcome message appears. The CAPS page shows only the welcome screen because it requires desktop mode for the full view. Using Chrome and choosing “Request desktop site” is recommended for mobile users to display the complete page.
