Federal University Dutse (FUD) has released the accreditation and identification protocol for voters ahead of the Students’ Union Government (SUG) election set for Saturday, August 22, 2026.

In a circular dated August 19, 2026, the Students’ Affairs Division clarified that only Gates Two and Three will be open for student access on election day.

All enrolled students must show their university identity cards to gain entry to the campus. Level 100 and Level 200 Direct Entry (DE) students who do not yet have ID cards may use either their acknowledgment slips or properly signed course registration forms that display their photographs.

Learners who have misplaced their ID cards are instructed to present a lieu form or acknowledgment slip issued by the Security Division.

The university emphasized that any voter lacking one of the approved forms of identification will be denied the right to vote.

Students are also called upon to uphold peace and order before, during, and after the voting process.
