The Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) confirmed that classes will recommence on Monday, October 19, 2026, for all undergraduate and diploma learners in the 2026/2027 academic year.

A resumption notice, bearing the signature of Registrar Air Commodore I. Shehu, instructs students to return on that date to begin academic activities.

The student portal will open for registration starting Monday, October 19 and remain available until Friday, October 30, 2026.

First‑semester lectures are slated to begin on Monday, November 2, 2026, and the institute notes that the compulsory 75 % attendance rule, which determines eligibility for semester exams, will take effect from that day.

AFIT also indicated that late registration will incur a charge of N10,000 and will be allowed only between Monday, November 2 and Friday, November 6, 2026.

The portal will then close for registration on Saturday, November 7, 2026.

The institute urges every student to note these dates and adhere to the registration and attendance guidelines.
