The Nigerian Universities Engineering Students' Association (NUESA) at the University of Uyo has instructed every engineering student who is presently engaged in the Students' Work Experience Programme (SWEP) or the Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) to turn in their logbooks or technical reports together with a copy of the receipt for faculty dues.
This instruction appeared in a memorandum issued on Thursday, 22 October 2026, and was addressed to all engineering students taking part in the SWEP/SIWES programmes.
The memo notes that any student who has not yet transformed their bank teller slips into formal faculty receipts should promptly go to the faculty secretariat to finalize the conversion.
It also requires students to carry a copy of the NUESA Constitution when they visit the secretariat for the receipt conversion.
The body emphasized that the directive must be acted on urgently to guarantee seamless processing of their SIWES/SWEP activities.
