Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH), Wudil, has officially confirmed the commencement of the 2025/2026 Academic Session for both fresh and returning students. The confirmation was conveyed through a formal circular issued by the Student Affairs Division and signed by the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Abdulkadir Muhammad Dambazau.
According to the directive, all University halls of residence will reopen on Sunday, 11 January 2026, precisely at 8:00 a.m. The University made it clear that there will be no early entry and no tolerance for late arrivals.
Campus Discipline Takes Centre Stage
Management has reiterated that campus order, cleanliness, and discipline remain top priorities this session. Existing regulations have not been relaxed in any form, and violations will attract definite consequences.
Hygiene And Environmental Sanitation Rules
Students were firmly reminded that open defecation is strictly prohibited under all circumstances. Hostel residents must make use of designated toilet facilities at all times—no exceptions.
Proper waste disposal is also non-negotiable. All refuse must be dumped in approved bins. Littering hostels, corridors, or common areas will not be tolerated.
The University further warned against the misuse of water. Spilling or splashing water in corridors, balconies, and shared spaces is banned due to safety risks and structural damage. Offenders should expect penalties.
Electrical Appliances And Fire Safety
Fire safety remains a serious concern. As a result, students are forbidden from keeping or using heavy electrical appliances in hostels. Banned items include:
• Hot plates
• Electric cookers
• Immersion heaters
• Refrigerators
Cooking is permitted only in approved kitchenette areas. Where gas usage is allowed, cylinders must be properly stored and carefully handled. Management warned that negligence in this area often leads to severe consequences.
Security And Personal Property
Students were advised to exercise caution with personal belongings. The open display of expensive phones, jewellery, and gadgets—especially in shared spaces—is strongly discouraged.
The University stated unequivocally that it will not be held responsible for the loss of high-value items left in common areas.
All students must carry their University identification cards at all times. Security personnel are authorised to request IDs at any moment. Failure to produce one will not be debated.
Code Of Conduct And Residency Regulations
Squatting remains a grave offence. Allowing unregistered individuals to stay in hostel rooms will attract disciplinary action for both parties involved, with loss of bed space being a likely outcome.
Curfew regulations remain in force:
• Hostel residents must return by 10:00 p.m.
• Off-campus students are expected back by 12:00 midnight
Noise pollution will not be ignored. Loud music, shouting, or any disturbance that interferes with studying or rest is unacceptable.
Students were also reminded that the approved campus dress code applies at all times and in all locations—inside hostels, outside hostels, and across campus.
Management’s Final Word
Prof. Dambazau emphasized that University Management is fully committed to student welfare and academic success. However, that commitment depends on students’ cooperation and discipline.
Any student who disregards these regulations risks immediate withdrawal of hostel accommodation and further disciplinary action. There will be no prolonged warnings or negotiations.
The circular has been formally circulated to senior University officials, hall administrators, security units, STUDENT UNION leaders, and association presidents.
The message is direct and unmistakable: resume on time, obey the rules, and stay focused on your studies. ADUSTECH wishes all students a smooth, disciplined, and productive 2025/2026 Academic Session.
