The University of Lagos has approved a final reopening of its course registration portal for the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic session. This is not a drill. It’s a clean, time-bound window—and once it shuts, it’s game over.
The approval was granted by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Folasade Ogunsola, and the directive is as clear as it gets: students have exactly two weeks to settle their registration issues.
Key Dates Students Must Not Ignore
The course registration portal goes live on Monday, 5 January 2026, and slams shut on Sunday, 18 January 2026.
This window is strictly for students who have not completed their course registration. If you missed earlier deadlines, stalled halfway, or kept saying “I’ll do it later,” this is your last lifeline. There will be no extensions. None.
Course Corrections Get Their Own Slot
Students who already registered but need to make adjustments will get a separate opportunity immediately after.
The Add and Delete period runs from Monday, 19 January to Sunday, 25 January 2026.
This is the only time allowed to correct errors, remove unwanted courses, or add missing ones. Once that week ends, the system locks permanently for the semester. No appeals. No bargaining. No sad emails.
Who Should Take This Seriously
This notice applies to:
• Students who missed earlier registration windows
• Students with incomplete or invalid course registrations
• Students who registered but later discovered mistakes
University management has stressed that this reopening is a one-time concession. After 25 January 2026, the portal will be completely closed for the semester.
