The Federal University of Technology, Minna Students’ Union has issued a warning to all students, advising them to steer clear of a group known as Neolife.
In a notice released, the union cautioned students that Neolife members have been approaching students on and around campus, often dressed in corporate-style outfits. The union described Neolife’s tactics as manipulative, alleging that they lie to initiate students into their cult.
Students are strongly advised not to engage with Neolife representatives and to report any encounters immediately to the Students’ Union, lecturers, school authorities, or campus security. The notice emphasized that participation in the group’s activities could distract from academic work and disrupt students’ progress.
As an alternative, the union directed students toward the Campus Entrepreneurship Centre, which offers support for skill development, professional growth, and legitimate income opportunities. Recommended focus areas include software, structural design, drafting tools, and other vocational or digital skills aligned with students’ fields of study.
The statement reaffirmed the university administration’s commitment to student safety, focus, and long-term success, urging the campus community to stay alert, stay focused, and succeed together.
