The Industrial Training and Coordinating Unit has extended the deadline for submission of SIWES acceptance letters to 14th April, 2026, following complaints from students about delays in processing their letters from respective placements.
The SIWES program provides students with practical experience and technical expertise in their specialized fields. Many ATBU students have secured employment in their industrial training placements upon graduation, demonstrating the program's effectiveness.
To achieve the program's objectives, students must adhere to the following regulations: 1. Maintain regular attendance and punctuality at their place of attachment. 2. Comply with the employer's rules and regulations. 3. Keep proper records of training activities in the Logbook. 4. Return the completed SCAF form to the ITF Office in Bauchi or the office in their SIWES state. 5. Be at their duty post, as university supervisors will make impromptu visits to assess performance.
Students are thanked for their cooperation.
