The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation to three academic programmes at the Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti.
The approval, contained in a letter to the Vice Chancellor dated 7th April, 2026, was signed by the Director of Accreditation, Abraham Chundusu, on behalf of the Executive Secretary. This formal approval followed an Accreditation Exercise carried out in October/November 2025 by a group of experts to assess the university's human and material resources.
The newly accredited programmes, valid for five years, are Nursing Science, Adult Education, and Education English Language. The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Joseph Babatola Ayodele, expressed delight and appreciated the Executive Secretary of the NUC, noting that the approval represents a significant stride in fulfilling the university's vision of academic excellence.
With this development, the total number of fully accredited programmes at Ekiti State University has risen to 79, amounting to 100%. The Vice Chancellor appreciated the Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, the University Governing Council, and Senate for their support in achieving this feat.
