The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olumuyiwa Omotola Odusanya, is pleased to announce the outcomes of the 2025 accreditation of undergraduate programmes by the National Universities Commission. The university community is informed that the institution performed excellently, obtaining full accreditation in 13 of the 14 programmes presented and interim accreditation in only one.
The accredited programmes are as follows: College of Basic Sciences - Industrial Mathematics with full accreditation. College of Applied Social Sciences - Insurance and Tourism and Hospitality Management both received full accreditation. College of Environmental Design and Technology - Estate Management and Valuation, Quantity Surveying, Building Technology, and Urban and Regional Planning all secured full accreditation. College of Engineering and Technology - Food Science and Bio-Technology, Agriculture and Biosystems Engineering, Civil and construction engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Mechatronics Engineering were all fully accredited. Electrical and Electronics Engineering received interim accreditation.
Additionally, the university secured full accreditation for Architecture from the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria. This achievement marks the university's success in all 39 programmes presented for accreditation since its emergence, with no failures. The Vice-Chancellor expresses his deep gratitude to all members of staff and students for these outstanding achievements and urges the university to build on this successful trajectory in preparation for the 2026 accreditation exercise.
