The Proprietor and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Crescent University, Abeokuta, Prince Ma'ruf Adesegun Ajibola SAN, has announced the appointment of Alhaji Rafiu Ebiti as the institution's new Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council.

This announcement was made during the 20th Founder's Day quadruple events of the institution, where a total of ninety-four members of staff were honoured with long service awards. According to Prince Adesegun Ajibola, Ebiti is now the Chairman of the Governing Council of Crescent University for the next dispensation.

He described Alhaji Ebiti as a great supporter of the vision of academic and moral excellence. A seasoned Nigerian accountant, industrialist, and philanthropist, Alhaji Rafiu Ebiti is the brainchild of Ibeji Foundation, through which many indigent but brilliant students have benefited from scholarships to public and private universities, including Crescent University.

Alhaji Ebiti is also an alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and a distinguished fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN). As a friend of Crescent University, Alhaji Rafiu Ebiti has been a great supporter of the institution since its inception. Until now, he was the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of Summit University, Offa.
