The Vice-Chancellor of Bayero University, Kano, Professor Haruna Musa, has announced the upcoming 60th Professorial Inaugural Lecture on behalf of the university community. This prestigious academic event will address one of the most critical socio-economic topics facing the nation.
The lecture is titled 'Population Growth and Nigeria’s Youth Bulge: A Potential for Demographic Dividend or Burden' and will be presented by Ismaila Zango Mohammed, a Professor of Sociology from the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social Sciences, Bayero University, Kano. Professor Mohammed holds a B.Sc. from BUK, an M.Sc. from the University of Ibadan, and a Ph.D. from BUK.
The event is scheduled to hold on Thursday, 11th June, 2026, at 2:00 PM as a hybrid event, allowing both physical and virtual participation.
