The Bayero University, Kano has announced that it will conduct an online screening for candidates who applied for admission in the 2026/2027 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination. The screening will take place from Friday, 19th June, 2026 to Sunday, 16th August, 2026.

To be eligible, UTME candidates must have chosen Bayero University as their first choice and scored a minimum of the indicated score for various faculty programs.

The method of application involves three steps. Firstly, candidates log in to the Bayero University website and click on the 2026 UTME online screening exercise.

Secondly, candidates update their profile using their UTME registration number as their username and UTME aggregate score as their password. They should then fill in the provided form, noting that the uploaded photograph from JAMB will be the only valid ID for all admitted candidates throughout their stay at Bayero University, Kano.

Thirdly, candidates generate and download their Personalised Payment Invoice (PPI), which includes a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) for the sum of #2,000.00, being the cost of screening. Applicants have the option of paying online using a credit/debit card, internet banking, or printing the invoice and using it to pay at any commercial bank nationwide.

Some key points to note include visiting any JAMB office or accredited CBT centre to upload 'O' Level results on the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS). Candidates are also advised not to supply false information, as this will result in disqualification. Blind and foreign candidates are exempted from the aptitude test but need to do the online registration.

Candidates are encouraged to get the Post-UTME past questions and answers for BUK to prepare adequately for the exercise. If they have any inquiries or encounter any difficulty, they can write to the email provided on the portal. Any candidate who fails to register for the screening exercise within the stipulated date will not be considered.
