The Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) School of Postgraduate Studies has released its academic calendar for the second semester.
The calendar breakdown is as follows: Resumption and registration for all students will take place from 22nd to 26th June, 2026, lasting five days. Lectures are scheduled from 23rd June to 11th September, 2026, spanning 12 weeks. The second-semester examinations will be held from 14th September to 12th October, 2026, over four weeks. Marking of exams will occur from 5th October to 2nd November, 2026, also lasting four weeks. Departmental and Faculty PG Committee meetings are set for 3rd to 6th November, 2026, over four days. The PG Board meeting will take place from 9th to 10th November, 2026, over two days. Senate Business Committee meetings are scheduled for 11th to 12th November, 2026, spanning two days. A Senate Examinations meeting is set for 16th November, 2026. Students will be on vacation from 13th October to 29th December, 2026, totaling 11 weeks. Academic staff will be on annual leave from 17th November to 29th December, 2026, lasting six weeks. The 2026/2027 session will commence on 30th December, 2026. Note that scheduled PG-ICT short training will be offered throughout the academic session. Wishing all students a wonderful second semester.
