The University of Uyo Students' Union Government has issued a reminder to students regarding the impending closure of the ongoing voter registration exercise on Sunday.
The Directorate of Information and Public Relations, in a press release dated June 26, 2026, stressed that there will be no extension after the registration window closes. As a result, students who fail to register before the deadline will not be eligible to participate in the forthcoming Students' Union, Faculty, and Departmental elections.
The union has urged students experiencing registration challenges to report the issues to Lydia Ukpong at the Student Affairs Division by calling 08135281930 for prompt assistance. Such challenges include cases where their registration number has been used without their knowledge or any other form of irregularity.
The Students' Union has reiterated the importance of completing the voter registration process on time. It noted that only duly registered students will be eligible to vote and contest in the upcoming elections.
The statement was signed by Godwin Patrick, Director of Information and Public Relations, Students' Union, University of Uyo.
