University of Uyo Students' Union Announces Start of Rag Day Activities

The Office of the Director of Socials has officially announced the commencement of Rag Day activities as part of the institution's 2026 Student Week celebration.

• The activities are scheduled to begin on Tuesday, 14 July 2026, according to a notice dated 13 July 2026.

The Director of Socials, Amaechina Nnaemeka Franklin, urged all students to participate responsibly while upholding the values and image of the University.

• Participation will only be recognized for students with the official UNIUYO Rag Day sticker, which serves as the approved means of identification.
• Sales of the stickers are still ongoing through Faculty Directors of Socials and other designated sales points.

Students were further advised to prioritize their safety by remaining within familiar locations, moving in groups where possible, informing friends of their whereabouts, maintaining peaceful conduct, and complying with all university regulations and security directives.

The Students' Union encouraged the university community to make this year's Rag Day celebration memorable, enjoyable, and incident-free.
