The management of Umaru Ali Shinkafi Polytechnic, Sokoto, has made an official announcement regarding the first semester examinations for the 2025/2026 academic session.

A one-week extension has been granted for the commencement of these examinations, specifically for newly admitted students.

This decision was made following an official circular issued by the Office of the Registrar on Saturday, July 11, 2026. The institution stated that the Acting Rector, Engr. Aliyu Sulaiman Mindaudu, approved the adjustment after considering an earlier communication on the matter dated June 27, 2026.

Final Window for Registration

The one-week extension is intended to provide fresh students, who have not yet finalized their academic documentation, with sufficient time to complete their registration.

Students who are yet to complete registration processes are advised to take advantage of this extension to complete their registration promptly, as no further extensions will be granted after the expiration period.

Following the extension, the first semester examination for all fresh students will now officially begin on Monday, July 20, 2026.

Directive to Faculty and Staff

To ensure a seamless transition into the adjusted timeline, the management has directed all College Directors, Heads of Departments, Examination Officers, and other relevant academic staff to immediately review and update their examination schedules.

Staff members have also been urged to ensure widespread compliance and to bring the new dates to the attention of all affected students to avoid any disruptions.
