Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, has taken a significant step forward with the approval of new appointments.

The Governing Council of the institution granted approval for the appointment of 24 Senior Academic Staff at its statutory meeting on Tuesday, 14th July, 2026.

The newly appointed staff comprise:

• 10 Chief Lecturers
• 13 Principal Lecturers
• 1 Chief Technologist

These appointments cover the promotion years 2022, 2023, and 2024, and will take effect retrospectively from 1st October of each respective year.

At the meeting, the Chairman of the Governing Council, Emeritus Professor Kamaldeen Balogun, reaffirmed the Council's commitment to prompt processing of staff promotions and appointments.

According to Emeritus Professor Balogun, the appointments are aimed at motivating staff and repositioning the Polytechnic among the top institutions in Nigeria.

He commended the dedication and commitment of the staff to the growth and development of the institution.

The Rector of the Polytechnic, Arc. Dr. 'Koye Jolaoso, congratulated the beneficiaries and reassured all staff members of the institution's commitment to fairness, equity, and justice.

He urged the appointees to justify their appointments through greater dedication, enhanced productivity, and commitment to duty.
