Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic (IMAP) in Lafia has officially started selling online admission forms for the 2026/2027 Academic Session Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) Program.

OVERVIEW OF THE IJMB PROGRAM

The IJMB program is a one-year academic calendar year program that serves as a stepping stone to prepare students for university education.

Key advantages of the program include:

• Direct Entry: Candidates can gain admission directly into the 200 level at university using required IJMB points without needing JAMB.
• Non-Expiring Results: Once the required points are attained, IJMB results do not expire.
• Established Credibility: The IMAP center is recognized nationwide for its credibility, reputation, and experienced examiners, being the oldest IJMB center in North Central Nigeria.
• Affordability: IMAP offers some of the most affordable tuition fees in the region and neighboring states.
• University Affiliations: Due to IMAP's affiliation with Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) and the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), graduating students can be reabsorbed into degree programs with certificates issued under these respective universities.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS AND ADMISSION DETAILS

General Requirements:

• Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 'O' Level credits in WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or equivalent qualifications obtained in not more than two sittings.
• Mandatory subjects include English Language, Mathematics, and three other relevant basic subjects.

Conditional Entry and Remediation:

• Arts candidates awaiting or remedying a credit in Mathematics may be granted conditional admission.
• Science candidates awaiting or remedying a credit in English Language may be granted conditional admission within the same academic year.
