The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has started registration for applicants seeking admission into Nigeria Certificate in Education programmes and non-technological National Diploma programmes in agriculture.
This development follows the Federal Government's approval exempting such applicants from writing the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
According to JAMB's spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, eligible candidates with the required O'Level credits can register at any Institutional Professional Registration Centre in colleges of education or any JAMB Professional Registration Centre nationwide.
Benjamin also stated that candidates who already sat for the 2026 UTME but have decided to switch to NCE or eligible agricultural programmes can convert their applications at any designated registration centre at no extra cost.
The policy is designed to widen access to teacher education and agriculture-related programmes while maintaining admission standards.
