As a proactive body dedicated to delivering swift and reachable services, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a system that allows candidates to verify their O'Level results directly with the examination authorities that conduct the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE), starting with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).

As a result, applicants can now submit their O'Level results from home while the Board carries out verification with the issuing bodies.

This move aligns with JAMB’s renewed pledge to make its offerings more user‑friendly, rapid, secure and convenient. By leveraging technology to cut down on unnecessary trips to CBT centres, long queues and paper‑based procedures, JAMB places candidate convenience at the heart of its operations.

The new process also tackles problems linked to manual O'Level uploads, such as lost or swapped paper results, submission of unverified or counterfeit certificates, and mistakes in entering subjects and grades. Through the link between JAMB’s eFacility platform and the examination councils, results are now cross‑checked against official records before being pulled into the candidate’s profile.

How to Upload and Verify Your O'Level Result:

FIRST LEVEL: VERIFICATION OF RESULTS

• 1. Go to the website “http://buyresultsverificationcode.ng”.
• 2. Input your National Identification Number (NIN) and click the “Verify NIN” button.
• 3. Choose the number of exam sittings you wish to verify and select the relevant examination body or bodies, then press “Continue”.
• 4. Provide your email address and mobile (GSM) number, then click “Pay Now”. You will be taken to the payment gateway.
• 5. Complete the payment using a debit card or a bank transfer.
• 6. Once payment is confirmed, fill in your examination particulars, which include:
• i. Examination number
• ii. Examination series
• iii. Examination year
• 7. Verify the result(s) for the chosen sittings and obtain your Verification Code.

SECOND LEVEL: UPLOAD OF O’LEVEL RESULTS

• 8. Send the text “VERIFY” followed by your Verification Code to either 55019 or 66019.
• 9. Your result will be uploaded automatically and you will receive a confirmation message.
• 10. If you have results from two sittings, you will be prompted to log into your e‑Facility profile.
• 11. On the e‑Facility dashboard, click on “2026 UTME O’Level Upload”.
• 12. Enter the Verification Code you received – both verified results will appear.
• 13. Choose the subjects you wish to carry forward, making sure that:
• i. At least five subjects are selected.
• ii. No more than nine subjects are chosen.
• iii. No subject is duplicated.
• 14. Click the “Apply the O’Level Results” button.
• 15. After a successful upload, you will get a notification confirming that the submission is complete.

The verification service offers candidates a handy alternative, especially during peak periods when CBT centres experience heavy traffic and network disruptions.

This initiative mirrors the vision of Prof. Segun Aina, the sixth Registrar of JAMB, who is steering the board toward a more client‑focused and technology‑driven service model. JAMB intends to keep expanding digital solutions and partnering with relevant examination and governmental agencies to ensure its services remain simple, safe and widely accessible to all applicants.
