The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) disclosed that the outcomes of the September 2026 Midwifery Professional Examination are now available.
In a communiqué dated 14 September 2026, the Council reported that the results received formal approval during its 63rd General Meeting convened in September 2026.
The Council indicated that a total of 9,544 examinees passed, yielding an overall average pass rate of 84%.
The outcomes were itemised as follows:
Heads of nursing training institutions have been instructed to verify their schools' results online via the Council’s application portal.
Successful candidates must also log onto the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria portal to complete online registration and obtain licensing.
The Council added that all online registration steps, including payment of the required fees, must be finalised within 90 days from the date the results were released. Registrations submitted after this period will incur a late‑registration charge of ₦16,250 per applicant.
The Council announced that the forthcoming Professional Examination in Midwifery is slated for Tuesday, 9 March to Friday, 12 March 2027.
The Council extended congratulations to all candidates who passed and wished them continued success in their future professional pursuits.
