The Students' Union Government (SUG) of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has released a security update concerning campus entry and gate operating times for all students.

The notice, referenced as REF: FUNAABSU-PR 022 and dated 20 September 2026, carries the signatures of Comr. Timzy, President, and Comr. Ovipour, Public Relations Officer, under the Team Heart‑led administration.

The Union wishes to remind every FUNAAB student of the following access and safety protocols that must be observed:

1. Vehicle Gate Tags:

Starting Monday 21 September 2026, dark‑blue vehicle gate tags will be distributed at the main entrance. The tag must be taken when entering and returned upon exit. A fine of ₦2,000 will be levied for any lost or damaged tag.

2. Student ID Card:

Learners who ride personal motorcycles onto campus are required to have a valid student ID card on hand and present it at the gate when requested.

3. Campus Gate Hours:

University gates will open at 06:00 and close at 22:00. Students who need to leave after 10 p.m. should ensure they exit before the gates are locked.

4. Movement of Valuable Items:

Students wishing to take valuable items off‑campus must complete a properly signed gate pass and provide proof of ownership or appropriate authorization where necessary.

The Union therefore advises all students to plan their movements in line with these guidelines and to cooperate with security personnel at all access points. The Students' Union Government remains committed to keeping FUNAABites informed and collaborating with the university for a safer campus.
