The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) – Federal University of Kashere (FUK) Branch – has announced that it is accepting applications from eligible and truly indigent students for the 2026 ASUU Indigent Scholarship Award.

According to the union, the scholarship is funded by the national ASUU body and is available to any registered student of Federal University of Kashere who satisfies the conditions outlined below.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must be a currently enrolled student at Federal University of Kashere for the ongoing academic session.
• Must demonstrate genuine financial need, as indigence is a core requirement.
• Must have maintained a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in the previous academic session.

Required Documents:

• An application letter not exceeding two pages, stating the applicant’s full name, programme of study, level and year, state of origin, and a concise explanation of the indigent circumstance and justification for the award.
• A photocopy of the current Student Identity Card.
• A letter from the current Head of Department confirming the GPA for the last session.
• A copy of the most recent Course Registration Form.
• One recent passport‑size photograph.

Method Of Application:

All submissions must be placed in a sealed envelope labelled “ASUU INDIGENT SCHOLARSHIP 2026” in the upper right corner and addressed to the Secretary, ASUU FUK Branch Secretariat, Federal University of Kashere, Gombe State.

Application Deadline:

The final date for receiving applications is Wednesday, 24 September 2026, no later than 12:00 noon.

Important Notes:

• Late submissions will be rejected.
• Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interaction and screening exercise.
• The selection will follow the Smart Prevention/Scholarship format, with the ultimate award presented at the zonal level.
• Applications must include all required documents; incomplete files will be disqualified.
