The University of Uyo (UNIUYO) has formally sworn in the newly elected officials of its 32nd Students’ Union Government, marking the commencement of their tenure.

The swearing‑in ceremony for the Student Union Executives and Senators was conducted on Friday, 18 September 2026, inside the 1,000‑seat TETFund Auditorium on the main campus, in accordance with a memorandum issued by the university’s Student Affairs Division.

The newly inaugurated 32nd Students’ Union Government executives include:

• Sen. Michael Ebom — President
• Comr. Deborah Edet — Vice President
• Comr. Ekomobong Archibong — Secretary General
• Comr. Edidiong Udowoima — Assistant Secretary
• Comr. Blessing Solomon — Financial Secretary
• Comr. Jesse Bassey — Attorney General
• Sen. Wisdom Essien — Director of Information and Public Relations
• Comr. Uboho Paul — Director of Academic
• Comr. Abasi‑Odiong Udofia — Director of Health/Welfare
• Sen. Samuel Ukarakpa — Director of Transport
• Comr. Hernandez Anthony — Director of Sports
• Comr. Bethel Ekong — Director of Social

The inauguration officially places the elected student leaders into their respective offices, where they will now represent the interests of UNIUYO’s student community. With these appointments, the council is poised to tackle academic affairs, welfare issues, transportation, sports, and other matters affecting students throughout the academic session.
