The management of Osun State University (UNIOSUN) has issued a reminder to all graduates slated to attend the 16th Convocation, urging them to observe the prescribed standards of dress, decorum and punctuality throughout the ceremony.

Required Conduct for Graduands

• Timely Arrival: All graduates must report to the Olagunsoye Oyinlola Auditorium at least one hour before the announced start time. This early arrival allows for orderly seating, procession arrangements and any final preparations before the ceremony begins.
• Tassel Placement: Graduates should ensure the tassel on their academic caps is positioned on the right side prior to the conferral of degrees. Immediately after the degree is awarded, the tassel must be moved to the left side.
• Appropriate Hairdo: Female graduates are advised to select a simple and suitable hairstyle that enables the academic cap to sit properly and remain secure for the entire duration of the event.
• Proper Wearing of Hoods: Each graduate must wear their academic hood correctly and keep it appropriately positioned throughout the proceedings.
• Maintenance of Decorum: The convocation is a solemn and dignified academic occasion. Graduates are expected to stay attentive, uphold the highest level of decorum and avoid unnecessary movement in and out of the convocation arena, except when absolutely necessary.

While extending heartfelt congratulations to the graduates on this significant achievement, the administration urges strict adherence to these guidelines to ensure the dignity, serenity and smooth conduct of the 16th Convocation ceremonies.
