Nigeria Maritime University (NMU) located in Okerenkoko, Delta State, has opened its Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) intake for the academic session 2026/2027.

The initiative aims to enable eligible candidates to secure direct entry into second‑year degree courses.

Available Courses

The university offers JUPEB tracks across four main clusters: Engineering, Environmental Management, Transport and Science.

• Engineering: Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum and Gas Engineering
• Environmental Management: Fisheries and Aquaculture, Environmental Management and Pollution, Meteorology and Climate Change, Marine Geology
• Transport: Maritime Economics and Finance, Transport Logistics Management, Nautical Science, Port Management
• Science: Biology, Computer Science, Industrial Chemistry, Industrial Mathematics, Industrial Physics

Admission Requirements

Prospective students must have five O’Level credits obtained from WAEC, NECO, GCE or NABTEB, achieved in no more than two sittings. The credits should include English Language, Mathematics and other subjects relevant to the chosen track such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Geography, Financial Accounting, Commerce or Government.

• Transport: Economics, Geography, Mathematics
• Environmental Management: Biology or Geography or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics

Candidates who wish to enroll should complete the online application on the NMU e‑portal and remit a non‑refundable processing fee of ₦10,000.
