The Governing Council of Federal University Gashua (FUGA) has approved a one‑year extension for three of the university’s principal officers.

The resolution was adopted during the Council’s 32nd Regular Meeting, which took place on Wednesday, 16 September 2026.

The officials whose terms are being prolonged are Registrar Dr Abubakar Manmuda, Bursar Mallam Muhammad Ahmad Ali, and University Librarian Dr Adam Gambo Saleh.

The extension complies with Section 5(4) of the Federal University Gashua Act, which permits the Council, after confirming satisfactory performance, to prolong the tenure of a Registrar, Bursar or Librarian for an additional year only.

Council Chairman Barrister Ibrahim Usman extended his congratulations to the three officers and praised their contributions toward the university’s growth and development.

Vice‑Chancellor Professor Yaqub Ahmed Geidam also offered his congratulations and wished the officers continued success in fulfilling their duties.

According to the Vice‑Chancellor, the decision underscores the Council’s dedication to bolstering FUGA’s administrative and academic frameworks, fostering career advancement, and improving institutional efficiency.
