Southern Delta University (SDU) in Ozoro, Delta State, has released the schedule for the start of academic activities in the 2026/2027 session.

According to an official bulletin circulated on Friday, 2 October 2026, the university community has been briefed on the specific dates that apply to academic staff, newly admitted students and those returning to campus.

Academic staff are slated to report for duty on Monday, 5 October 2026.

Newly admitted students are expected to begin their programmes on Monday, 12 October 2026.

Returning students are scheduled to resume classes on Sunday, 25 October 2026.

Screening and Registration for Newly Admitted Students

The institution also announced that the screening and registration process for the fresh intake will kick off on Monday, 12 October 2026.

All newly admitted candidates are instructed to appear promptly with their original certificates and any other supporting documents required for the screening and registration exercise.

University management has called on both students and academic staff to strictly observe the stated resumption dates and to make all necessary preparations for the upcoming academic term.

The administration further welcomed the entire university community to the 2026/2027 academic session and wished everyone a productive and successful year ahead.
