Goal of the Nigeria Spelling Bee Competition.

The goal of the Nigeria Spelling Bee Competition is to bring out the best in every Nigerian student by rewarding the winners with amazing prizes and scholarships while also making the runners-up study harder.

Participants will be asked to spell words from the English, Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo languages.

Nigeria Spelling Bee Competition is all about bringing the best out of Nigeria and showing the world our Nigerian spelling prowess.

Nigeria Spelling Bee Competition Eligibility.

  • Spellers must be at least 9years old and at most 19years old.
  • Spellers must be at least in JS-1 and at most SS-3 as at the time of competition.
  • Spellers within the age range of 9-19years that are out of the Secondary School can attach themselves to a Secondary school to be eligible.

Nigeria Spelling Bee Competition Requirements.

  • Spellers must register online before the closing date.
  • Spellers are required to Print the Registration Confirmation page after submitting the e-Registration form.
  • Spellers are required to upload a recent passport photograph during registration as it will be used to identify spellers during the competition.
  • Spellers are strongly advised to download and print the Competition-Words (Yoruba, Hausa & Igbo) which will be used during the competition.
  • Spellers are required to study the Competition-Words (Yoruba, Hausa & Igbo), as those are the words that would be asked during the competition.
  • Spellers are required to study the English words on their own as English words would be drawn from The Oxford Advanced Learners Dictionary.
  • Spellers are required to upload a recent passport photograph during e-Registration.
  • Registration is open to all Nigerian students to compete in English, Yoruba, Hausa & Igbo

  1.  Go to any First Bank Plc Branch anywhere you are in Nigeria.
  2. Pay the e-Registration Fee of N2,000 only into the below details.

  3. Keep your teller securely as it would be used to fill the e-Registration form.
  4. Important Notice:
    The security of your teller/teller number is your responsibility. Nigeria Spelling Bee will not accept any liability arising from any loss caused by exposing or sharing your teller number to another person.
