This is to notify all candidates who selected Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) as their first choice in the 2025 UTME, as well as those who did not select ESUT but wish to change their choice, that the university will be conducting an online screening for admission. Candidates who intend to change their institution to ESUT are advised to first apply for the change of institution through JAMB.
A. ESUT Cut-off Marks for Various Programs:
Medicine and Surgery, Nursing Sciences, Law – 240
Pharmacy – 220
Medical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Radiography, Computer Science – 200
Anatomy, Public Health, Civil Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Accountancy, Business Administration, Mass Communication, Political Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology – 180
Faculties of Agriculture, Education, Environmental Sciences, and other programs – 160
B. Screening Process:
The screening will be carried out online, meaning that candidates do not need to appear for a physical screening or aptitude test.
C. Screening Processing Fee:
The application fee is N2,000.00 (Two Thousand Naira only).
D. Notification:
Candidates will be informed of their admission status through text messages or the ESUT portal.
Online registration opens on Tuesday, July 29th, 2025 and closes at 12:00 midnight on Sunday, August 31st, 2025.
Visit the ESUT portal:
Go to www.portal.esut.edu.ng.
Select 2025/2026 Admission Screening Registration under Regular Students.
Enter your UTME Registration Number and click.
Provide your email and phone number and click “Proceed.”
Payment Options:
Pay online using an ATM card, or
Pay via bank using eTranzact at any bank nationwide (ensure you print the receipt with the pin).
Return to the portal and click on “Continue Registration.”
Log in with your JAMB Registration Number.
Enter your O’Level results correctly.
Confirm your entries and submit your application.
Print your acknowledgment slip.
Awaiting Results: Candidates awaiting their 2025 WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB results can apply. However, any results released after September 30th, 2025 will not be considered.
Inconsistent Name/Details: Discrepancies in name or other details will lead to disqualification.
O’Level & UTME Consistency: Ensure that your O’Level results, UTME results, and other registration details are consistent across all documents.
JAMB CAPS Upload: All candidates are required to upload their O’Level results to JAMB CAPS.
Candidates must confirm the accuracy of the information provided. Any false details will lead to disqualification.
Direct Entry candidates are required to also apply online and enter their academic qualifications as requested.
Transcripts for Direct Entry candidates should be submitted to the Registrar, ESUT, and a copy forwarded to the Admissions Office.
