The University of Ibadan (UI) has announced the commencement of acceptance fee payment for candidates offered provisional admission for the 2025/2026 academic session.

According to the university, all admitted candidates who have generated their admission letters on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) are required to pay a non-refundable acceptance fee of ₦50,000 through the UI Admission Portal.

The payment window opens on Monday, November 10, 2025, and closes on Friday, December 5, 2025. The management emphasized that no extension will be granted, urging all candidates to make their payments before the deadline. Candidates who have not yet generated their admission letters on CAPS must do so before proceeding with the payment. The institution also warned that refunds will not be made under any circumstance.

Documents Required for Acceptance Fee Process

While completing the acceptance fee payment, candidates must upload the following documents:

• O’Level result(s)

• PIN or serial number of WAEC or NECO scratch card (for result verification)

These documents will be verified during the clearance exercise to confirm each candidate’s eligibility.

Step-by-Step Guide for UI Acceptance Fee Payment

1. Visit the University of Ibadan Admission Portal and log in using your application credentials.

2. Choose your preferred payment method:

   • Card Payment: Pay instantly using a debit or credit card.

   • Bank Branch: Print out your payment slip from the portal, make payment at any designated bank branch, and return to the portal to reconcile your transaction.

3. Print and keep your payment success receipt for future reference.

Clearance and Matriculation

After paying the acceptance fee, all candidates must present the original copies of their credentials to designated Schedule Officers in the Undergraduate Admissions Office for clearance. The date for the clearance exercise will be announced in due course.

Candidates who complete all processes successfully and are verified as qualified will be formally matriculated as bona fide students of the University of Ibadan. The university cautioned that any case of falsified, irregular, or incomplete credentials will result in immediate withdrawal of admission.
