The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) has officially commenced the printing of admission letters for newly admitted candidates for the 2025/2026 academic session.

A statement from the Office of the Registrar, dated Wednesday, 31 December 2025, confirmed that the admission portal will be accessible from Friday, 2 January 2026. This applies to candidates admitted via the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) programmes.

Who Can Print the UNIMAID Admission Letter
Only candidates who selected UNIMAID as their first choice in the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) are eligible to print their admission letters. Candidates are required to confirm their admission status on the portal before attempting to download the letter, as an unconfirmed status may prevent access.

How to Print Your Admission Letter
Admitted candidates should follow these steps:
    1.    Visit the University of Maiduguri official website and navigate to the Admission Portal to access the UMSTAD login page.
    2.    Log in using your JAMB Registration Number as both username and password.
    3.    On the dashboard, select “Download Admission Letter”.
    4.    Review your admission details displayed on the screen.
    5.    Download and print your admission letter.

Important Notice
Candidates are urged to carefully check all personal details on the portal and strictly follow the instructions provided. Incorrect or skipped information may cause delays during the registration process.

Admission Remains Provisional
UNIMAID emphasized that all admissions are provisional, contingent upon fulfilling all admission requirements and successfully completing the University’s clearance process.
