The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) has officially released the resumption schedule and detailed guidelines for the 2025/2026 academic session. Fresh students resume first, returning students follow, and lectures start immediately. No dragging, no confusion.

A. Instructions For Candidates Offered Provisional Admission
Candidates offered provisional admission must complete the steps below to secure full registration:
1. Accept Admission On JAMB CAPS
Log in to the JAMB Portal and click “Accept Admission.”
Failure to accept means no JAMB Admission Letter and the offer is treated as not admitted.
2. Generate Payment Invoice On UNN Platforms
Using your JAMB Registration Number, generate a payment invoice (with RRR) via:
• UNN Official Website
• UNN Student Portal
Payments can be made at any commercial bank, including UNN Microfinance Bank.
3. Pay Acceptance Fee (₦50,000)
• Acceptance fee is ₦50,000 only.
• Candidates who earlier paid ₦30,000 must generate a balance invoice and pay the remaining ₦20,000.
4. Confirm Bank Details
Ensure the bank inputs the correct invoice number.
Collect the confirmation slip showing the Invoice Number and Confirmation Number.
5. Print Admission Slip And Complete Acceptance Form
Return to the UNN portal and log in using:
• JAMB Registration Number
• Invoice Number
• Confirmation Number
Then:
• Print admission slip
• Complete the online acceptance form
6. Proceed With Other Payments And Registration
Continue with all other fees and registration stages as displayed on the portal.
7. Admission Remains Provisional
All admissions are provisional until fully verified.
8. Entry Requirement Matters — A Lot
If UNN discovers that a candidate does not meet the required university, faculty, or departmental entry conditions, the admission will be withdrawn — even in final year. Brutal, but true.

B. Free Transport For New Students
UNN has arranged free transportation for fresh students from Nsukka town to campus.
• Dates: January 5 – January 9, 2026
• Time: 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm daily
• Departure Point: Nsukka Bus Terminal
• Destination: UNN Campus

C. Temporary Accommodation For First-Year Students
Short-term hostel accommodation is available for fresh students only.

• Copy of one valid ID (National ID, International Passport, or Voter’s Card)

Faculty registration begins January 5, 2026.
Conference registration for Clinical Sciences, Dentistry, and Health Sciences & Technology holds at Ekpo Convocation Hall, Nsukka, from January 12, 2026.
